JobTitle Senior Instrumentation Engineer
JobDescription Role Summary/Purpose:
The role is a key position within the engineering department with a focus towards the subsea sensor suite deliverable to customers. You will act as the technical steward to ensure that all the sensor scope delivered by the sub contractor base meets the required specifications.

Essential Responsibilities:
Engineering and design authority and technical stewardship for the subsea sensor portfolio.

Technical lead on product line extension activity.

Continual improvement of product portfolio through incorporation of customer feedback, design for manufacture, FMEA and six sigma initiatives.

Ensuring compliance of the product portfolio with legislation and company/industry requirements and standards.

Creation and maintenance of the technically approved sensor portfolio

Technical lead on investigations and studies.

Providing key input to other engineers in the correct selection of sensors for individual applications.

Company representation, report writing and presenting to the customer.

Technical operational support in the form of concessions, permits, and fault finding to the workshop and installed base.
JobRequirements Qualifications/Requirements:
Multi-disciplined engineer with knowledge of Software, Electronic, Electrical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering

Demonstrable working experience in instrumentation and controls.

HND/Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (Preference would be BSc in Instumentation and Control)

Normally expected to be a chartered engineer and member of a professional body eg MI MechE

Desired Characteristics Demonstrable experience within the subsea controls industry
