JobTitle Engineering Intern
JobDescription Essential Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be entered into the Engineering Internship Programme.

The programme is structured around a series of secondments/attachments to the various teams within the Engineering organisation, encompassing the major degree disciplines - Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Software & Materials Engineering.

Interns will be supported in this process by an assigned mentor, who will act as a 'tutor' throughout the duration of the programme.

In parallel, pre-defined training courses are aimed at accelerating knowledge & understanding of both the company products and environment, but also wider industrial custom & practice.

This training may include early completion of Lean-Sigma Green Belt certification, such that process-improvement projects can be identified & delivered during each secondment - thereby accelerating understanding of the organisations' processes and the skills required to achieve real business improvement.
JobRequirements Qualifications/Requirements:
Relevant Engineering/Science Degree (MEng or equivalent - min 2:2) in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Materials or Software/Computer Science; or successful completion of 1st & 2nd year Engineering Degree (as above).

Must be a strong 'self-starter' & capable of working unsupervised to deliver pre-agreed objectives.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Good self-awareness and interpersonal/team-working skills.

Unquestionable integrity.

Clean & full UK/EU driving licence.

Desired Characteristics Previous industrial experience (usually 'sandwich year' or summer placements whilst at University) is preferred but not essential.

37.5 hr week, on site parking close to Bristol with easy access off the M5.
