JobTitle Commercial Manager - Subsea Systems
JobDescription Essential Responsibilities:
Generate product costing and model costs / price with input from engineering and manufacturing functions
Prepare executive cost model in support of R2 and RRC discussions
Complete the commercial risk register for assigned proposal opportunities
Preparation of costs will include review bill of materials provided by engineering, separating non-standard manufactured components and direct to sourcing for costing, separating special testing requirements and direct to manufacturing for costing
Coordinate with the Master Schedulers to confirm capacity and delivery schedule
Provide scope of supply to manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering to obtain estimates on hours and material costs
Participate with leadership, (company), in delivering successfully against the contract
Develop, agree, and implement contractual strategies with the Project Director / Manager
Provide leadership and maintain engagement with respect to client relationship
Review and manage the use of MSAs
Ensure that variation orders (VO) change orders (CO) or sympathy claims are justifiable and compliant (contractually) and provide the necessary arguments for their submittal
Ensure site records are being adequately maintained to support the preparation of reports, variations, and claims
Manage the preparation and submission of interim progress claims and final account to ensure their timely payment
Provide risk management strategies and techniques
Coordinate Commercial Management with COE Managers in areas such as cost management and managed spend, resource plan management, vendor management (Project Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Management), resourcing, including delivery model execution, planning, forecasting (Fulfillment) and Reporting, risk mitigation management, governance and compliance, and operational performance enhancement
Review and approve subcontract progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims, and final accounts Insurance / Bonding
Notify and prepare insurance claims
Provide concise commercial reporting of project(s) status to management (Review & submit PSR to prescribed timescales)
JobRequirements Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university or college
Demonstrable experience in contract management principles (the ability to manipulate and 'shape' deals and formulate relationships that facilitates viable client solutions)
Demonstrable experience in administration and the management of risk analysis
Knowledge and clear understanding of commercial levers for contractual obligation (and how to manage them over the duration of the contract)
Ability to direct complex daily activity of multiple work streams, focused on issue resolution
Have a clear understanding of the utilization of risk management and risk / reward optimization
Understanding of product costing and financial reporting
Technical knowledge of manifold and connection systems
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong communication and leadership skills

37.5 hr week, on site parking close to Bristol with easy access off the M5.
