JobTitle Maintenance & Facilities Department Manager
JobDescription Purpose of role:

Responsible for the management of the Maintenance & Facilities Department, principal objectives are:

Continue the change in philosophy from a re-active to a pro-active culture
Identify the principal causes of downtime and improve performance through planned, structured activity
Manage departmental budgets, identifying strategies for reducing costs
Improve associate capability, diminishing the requirement for outsourcing activities
Monitor utilities consumption, identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives

MAIN DUTIES (this list is not exhaustive)

Development of the team working structure, ensuring effective communication across the existing shift pattern.
Managing the available resource to complete proactive activity (TPM) and minimise stoppages through fast response and effective problem solving.
Analysis of breakdown data, against appropriate time frames, in order to identify trends and develop effective countermeasures.
Develop the existing Maintenance metrics to more accurately reflect the effect of activity.
Transfer of knowledge through a structured program, from the Maintenance Department to production personnel in order to eliminate small stoppages.
Provide full and comprehensive reports for significant stoppages. Identifying countermeasures and managing their effective introduction to prevent re-occurrence. Process should use horizontal reflection.
JobRequirements Salary up to £45k per annum
Company vehicle / allowance (approx £5k p.a)
Monday to Thursday 8am to 16.45pm / Friday 8am to 13.00pm. Flexibility is required for the completion of tasks within the role.
Matched pension scheme (2.5%, goes to 5% after 5yrs) after successful completion of 6 month probationary period.
Healthcare scheme (Level 1 cover) provided after successful completion of 6 month probationary period.
