JobTitle Project Manager - Sizewell B
JobDescription PM with good commercial knowledge and good communication skills who can handle a major project on Turbines and direct project engineers, will ideally have an electrical background. This position is based at Sizewell B. 40 hour week. Security Clearance: Minimum BSVR or SC

Main Responsibilities:
• Ensuring, with assistance from Seniors where required, that adequate material and human resources are applied to the management of the project, within an enabling and workable organisational structure

• Compilation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in such a way as to maximise the value of that document to the project team, ensuring that all contributing staff, departments and outside agencies become fully aware of project specific requirements



• Ensuring, with assistance from the Project Controls Manager, the implementation of an appropriate management architecture, tools, outputs and metrics to enable active management of project delivery
• Review with the PCM and Seniors of the budget for the overall project and subsequent management (monitor, record and control) of costs to ensure maximum profitability for the Company, managing any change, back charges and claims arising to limit project overruns and to limit the liability of the company to third parties
• Leadership of the project team in managing and driving timely completion of design deliverables and the procurement of all equipment and services, whether supplied in hour or outsourced, to meet the needs of the project programme
• Preparation of regular reports (both internal and external) and convening of regular meetings to the extent set out in the Project Execution Plan
• Achieving prompt identification of project related concerns and vulnerabilities and ensure formulation of strategies for successful resolution, in conjunction with project team and seniors as required
• Ensuring compliance with project contractual arrangements and agreed internal procedures
• Maintaining proficient, ethical and consistent liaison with the customer, to promote the company’s business
JobRequirements Qualifications:
• BSc in Engineering (preferably) or other related subject.
• Corporate Membership of an appropriate professional engineering institution should be considered to be a requirement for this role

Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years post graduate experience in a project engineering/management environment; participation within an earlier project team in any engineering role from detail design phase through to commissioning and start-up is highly advantageous.

Alternatively, 5 years experience in a discipline engineering gained in the nuclear, power, or process plant industry with a Contracting or Operations company and at least 4 years working as a Project Engineer; experience must have included co-ordination of engineering discipline inputs and project during management of projects in the nuclear, power, process or offshore sectors.

• A general knowledge of project delivery processes including, particularly, project scope capture, planning and cost control is desirable at this level, together with a familiarity with multi-discipline engineering design practice and awareness of current practice in safety, quality, client relationship management and appreciation of common forms of Contract.
