Electrical Site Supervisor - Gatwick Airport

Job Description

Electrical site supervisors required to ensure that all activities and equipment on the installation site meets all applicable SHEQ standards and to drive the company’s commitment to “Everyone going home safe every day” Must have previous airport experience.

This role is required to undertake the supervision of the electrical installation activities. The responsibilities include assisting the site manager in keeping the site a safe environment and to ensure work is completed in line with company quality standards and the project’s programme.

Skills:
• Demonstrated supervision skills in Airport or similar industry
• C&G or NVQ qualification preferably with apprenticeship served
• Commitment to HSE demonstrated
• Good IT Skills with indication of use
• Good client interaction

Experience:
• Ability to be a Self-Starter Able to manage and co-ordinate working groups consisting of people from differing elements and levels within their organisations
• Possesses a can do attitude Has an enthusiastic nature Clean Driving Licence Customer focused Extensive knowledge of Airline/Handler baggage operational processes
• Extensive knowledge of cross Heathrow/Gatwick baggage operations and maintenance processes and procedures
• Knowledge of electrical installation practices and safe systems of work Able to read electrical drawings
• A good understanding of design processes and the implantation of the design onto an operational site

Experience of working with Project teams and an understanding of the project management process
• Facilitation of process development and review workshops and team briefs
• Experience in working with a diverse range of specialist team members
• Experience of HAL/GAL document management process and procedures including the use of Documentum would be an advantage
• Conducting Risk Assessments SSSTS 17th Edition C&G 2382-10
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment CSCS Supervisor Level Working within an ISO 9001 Environment Electrical setting to work i.e. power up, I/O Testing & Fault Finding
• NVQ level 3 in Engineering Craftsmanship or similar

Contracts available until the end of December 2018

38 hours per week 5 shifts should allow for shift to be 9.5 hours (not including 30 min meal break)

1 position based on Night Shift and 1 position based Day Shift with flexibility for nights.
